All BOP equipment and drillstring equipment shall be in a serviceable and fully tested condition. BOP is to be tested as per API every 2 weeks as a minimum.
All Stripping drill requirements must be understood by rig personnel and shall be implemented at suitable convenient points during drilling operations. (The procedure shall be written by the Drilling Supervisor and be clear with the exact requirements).
Automatic MAASP control, on the automatic choke control unit, shall not be used and therefore shall remain disconnected at all times. MAASP to be calculated for every change in mud weight. Company are currently reviewing the issue.
A Well Control sheet (or kick sheet) shall be filled out every tour or when a formation change or mud weight change occurs.
The drilling crew shall be familiar with the well control procedures and all key personnel are to be certified.
Kick drills shall be carried out as specified.
The relevant personnel required for the drilling phase shall be called out in ample time to enable full preparation of their equipment or provision of services.
