Procedure for single stage cementing operations whith an ES cementer and ECP installed:

  1. Prepare 30 bbls spacer 500 (10.5 ppg) in slug pit as per mixing procedure, while circulating.
  2. Set the hanger as per setting procedure, bleed off pressure to 0 psi, then presure test casing to 2500 psi for 10 mins.
  3. Increase pressure in stages to 2000 psi to inflate the ECP.
  4. Continue increasing pressure to 2750 psi to open the ES cementer.
  5. When ES cementer is opened, circulate hole clean.
  6. Batch mixX first stage cementing slurry to 15.0 ppg as per recipe.
  7. Pump 10 bbls freshwater ahead of cement followed by 30 bbls 10.5 ppg spacer-500.
  8. Perform the 1st stage cement job using Class ā€œGā€ cement plus additives as per attached recipe.
  9. Drop shut-off plug releasing dart followed by 2 bbls cement to avoid any rotation of plug when drilling out.
  10. Displace cement with mud at 10 - 12 bpm or as fast as possible without breaking down the formation, using the cementing unit for primary displacement measurements and mud pit volumes as check. Slow down pump rate to 3 bpm, for last 10bbls of displacement, while latching the wiper plug.
  11. Observe liner wiper plug shearing from stinger (record pressure) and check volume displaced. (Shearing pressure is 1250 psi + 10%).
  12. Bump bottom plug with 1 000 psi. If plug does not bump, overdisplace 50 % of shoetrack volume and STOP pumping. Slow down displacement to 2-3 bpm prior to approaching the ES cementer.
  13. ContinueE displacing until first stage shut-off plug locates on landing collar. Hold 200 - 250 psi on plug for 1 minute. Increase pressure and pressure test casing. Release pressure on surface and observe to confirm float shoe is holding.

The following procedure shall follow the single stage cementing job for two stage cementing operations through the ES cementer:

  1. Load closing plug releasing dart in the cementing manifold.
  2. Prepare 30 bbls dual spacer in slug pit as per mixing procedure.
  3. Mix 2nd stage cement slurry as per recipe. (Include 15 % excess in open hole). Note: Cement volume to be calculated on rig based on calliper       volume + 15 % excess.
  4. Pump 5 bbls freshwater ahead of cement followed by 30 bbls10.5 ppg dual spacer.
  5. Cement 7in liner (Lead and Tail) in place with Class ā€œGā€ cement as per recipe.
  6. Drop closing plug releasing dart followed by 2 bbls cement to avoid any rotation of plug when drilling out. (Shear pressure is 1960 psi of 10 %).
  7. Displace cement with mud at 10 - 12 bpm or as fast as possible without breaking down formation, using the cementing unit for primary displacement measurements and mud pit volumes as a check. Slow down rate to 3 bpm, while latching the wiper plug, for last 5 bbls of displacement.
  8. When plug bumps, increase pressure up to 1 070 psi differential pressure to close ES Cementer circulating ports.
  9. Pressure test liner to 2 500 psi for 15 minutes.
  10. Unsting from hanger and allow fluids to U-Tube. POOH 10 stands and circulate out  the long way, observing returns at surface for contaminated cement, which will be dumped overboard.
  11.  POOH with liner setting tool and lay down same.
  12. Drill out and test 7in liner lap.
