Premier Oil

We are an independent upstream oil and gas company with a strong track record of operating and executing production and development projects. We maintain exposure to upside value from successful exploration and accretive acquisitions. Our assets have an average life of around ten years and we seek to plan our business on a medium to long term basis. The recent significant collapse in oil prices due to the destruction of global oil demand by COVID-19, however, has necessitated that we take action in the short term to counteract that impact on our business. While the Group’s immediate priority is to preserve liquidity and manage our forward covenant profile, our strategy, business plan and capital allocation over the longer term remains unchanged: we will seek to continue to pay down debt at the same time as investing selectively in new international projects and exploration to create material value for all of our stakeholders. The current volatile macro environment serves to underline the importance of being sustainably free cash flow positive and ensuring that future growth can be funded through the commodity price cycle without compromising our balance sheet.

In many cases, these professionals participate jointly with Taylor Hill in oil and gas exploration and development activity on the exploration projects. At the current time, Taylor Hill is dedicating efforts in three ways: 1.) internally generating oil and gas opportunities and acquiring mineral leases for these opportunities (or “prospects”) in Alberta 2.) acquisition of GORR’s and lease interests and 3.) the management and marketing of prospective oil and gas lands for third parties where the company views these lands to have merit and where Taylor Hill is prepared to do the marketing for an interest in the lands. Taylor Hill markets prospects to the oil and gas industry, while retaining an interest, prior to further exploration activity such as seismic acquisition, drilling or recompletion. Taylor Hill negotiates compensation for prospects on a case-by-case basis and will negotiate on one, or all, prospects in one transaction. As at July 2, 2019 Taylor Hill held 73,985 acres of undeveloped leases which it is marketing.
